How to find an accompanist to practice with?

So I have an audition for "The Music Man" coming up, but I don't know anyone who plays the piano, and I don't want to go into the audition having only sang my song a capella. I've looked for piano accompaniment tracks online, but can't find any. How should I find someone to practice with? I'm singing "Jimmy" from Thoroughly Modern Millie, so also, if you know of any place I can buy the piano accompaniment of it, let me know!

  1. Check out music schools in the area, or the music department of a local college or high school.  If you go to church, ask the organist/pianist there.  Call the theater and ask if they know of anyone who'd be willing to practice with you.

If nothing else, play the song on CD or youtube or something and sing along so you know how the accompaniment goes before you go into the audition.
