  1. Private detective.  Since there is no adoption on record, those routes won't do any good.

  2. You can try something as simple as Google maybe. There are plenty of people finder sites too.

  3. Laurie is right - if he was never actually 'adopted' he should be able to obtain his original birth certificate - and search for names from there.

If he was adopted - depending on what state - his original birth cert may be locked away in a vault - and the search can be a lot harder.

Here's what I usually suggest for adoptees - just in case it can help -

First - add your details to the registries here

    http://www.isrr.net/

    http://registry.adoption.com/

Check for information on your state records here -

Check here for search help - and links to free search angels -

    http://www.adoptioncrossroads.org/

And check here for any support - it's the best online forum for adoptees I've found -

    http://www.adultadoptees.org/

All the very best with your search.

  4. Since he was never adopted, he can get full names and residence information off of his birth certificate (if he hasn't already done so.)

From there, he can use some of the search databases and social networking sites.  For instance, I found my sister using Classmates.com and MySpace.  Intelius.com and Knowx.com are both useful for finding people.  They cost under $10.00 each.  I located my father with Knowx.com.
