How to find fingerprints at home?

ok so i have this project that i need to do. and i need to find a finger print in my home. how to i make that fingerprint visible so i can identify it? (i dont have any speial equipment. nothing at all) can some one help?

If you have a clear glass and your fingers are greasy or lightly painted, the fingerprint will show up.

Try dusting very fine powder on the print or prints.   That may make them show up.   You might make some prints by having greasy fingers so that you could test them.   Another method used on TV   is to put the object which might have prints in a container with some super glue.   They fumes of the glue sometimes makes the finger prints show up.  I have never tried this, though.

try dusting some powder on doorknobs or windows panes. basically fingerprints can be found on surfaces which are smooth and non-porous(no pores) like glass or metal.

once the fingerprints are visible, you can try "lifting" them by covering them with a clear adhesive tape and transferring them to a card.
