  2. For a fee, you can look up your horse's records with the Jockey Club. (http://www.jockeyclub.com) to do this you need to know the numbers and letters tattooed on the horses upper lip.

    If the horse is not yours, or if you're just having a day at the races, there is usually a program you can purchase with the stats of all the racers that day. They can be hard to decipher, so I would suggest taking someone who knows what they're talking about with you.
