How to find information about a person's visa here in the US?

I am wondering if there is a website online that has information about a person's visa. I am wondering about the status of her visa and when it expires. Is there any way to find out when she must go home, she is from the dominican republic.

Why don't you ask her??  The information should be made clear on her visa papers and/or passport.

There is no such service.  The 1974 Privacy Act forbids making this kind of information available to the public.

mJc is correct. For you to ask such a question, leaves me to believe that, may be, some thing is not " kosher".

You can not do this online or anywhere else.

You could look at her passport and see. Even if she is on a H1-B it will be in there. Anybody entering will have some other sort of documentation handy just in case there is an issue.

A straight up person would supply this if you casually asked because its no big deal if asked and also legal. You would look like the idiot for asking if all was kosher. So when one has no real answer..... odds are something is up.
