  1. Finder toolbar > Utilities > Network Utility > Info > IP address should be below Hardware address.

Alternatively, you could look it up in the router's web-based utility page.

  2. Can you print the output from ifconfig here, please? If not, try using this command instead to filter out a bunch of the other stuff:

    ifconfig | grep "inet "

the Network System Pref should also tell you your IP address, even if you aren't connected to anything at all.

Not sure what version of OS X you have. On older versions, you may have to click on the TCP/IP tab.

  3. on system preferences>> look for network>> look for "show and choose built-in ethernet but if you dont have "show" just look for built-in ethernet on the left side of the window>> look for TCP/IP & under TCP/IP you will find what your looking for but if you cant find TCP/IP just look for "configure" cause below it you will find the ip address

  4. Apple > System Preferences > Network

for OS 10.4, Show > "Built-in Ethernet" or "Airport", IP address will be listed below.

for OS 10.5, click and highlight "Built-in Ethernet" or "Airport" on the column on your left, IP address will be listed on the right.
