How to find menial jobs in sydney?

im looking for janitorial, housekeeping, factory worker type of non-skilled type of jobs. how can i find them? do i go to centrelink or call indiscriminately all institutions that have toilets or beds?

i checked the major job websites but all of them are for skilled workers.

  1. Yes knock on doors also go to centerlink tell them you are desperate for work and are willing to take any sort of position, they love to hear this. Good luck.

  3. I would have a look at job agencies that are in the Western areas of Sydney, or in Parramatta. I think your chances would be a bit better. Look at the Sun Herald Classified ads, or any of the free papers, such as the Parramatta Advertiser, the Auburn Review, or the Parramatta Sun. Free papers are pretty good for those sorts of jobs.

  4. I wouldn't class these jobs as menial they often take a lot of physical work and can be quite rewarding. Keep watching the newspaper ads . Approach motels and the likes just explain your not skilled but would like to learn also centre link and job agencies. Sometimes you need to do a lot of work looking but they will be out there . don't give up. Good luck.
