Adoptions dealt with through the court in the UK since 1929, are  on the adoptions register kept at the GRO

i found my husbands sister on the net what i did is i knew her name and what county state she was in and i did the us search and it showed her name and ehat state i called the court house in that county to find out if she was married or not and she was got her last name and i called information and there it was if you know her name then you may be able to find her yourself if not and you really wanna find her go for it she may want to be found dont wait do it quickly i tried doing the same for my cousin and instead i found his obituary so please dont wait try to find her as soon as possible

Many people have re-united with their child, sibling or parent knowing only the country and date of birth .  She may be searching too and possibly knows her birth mother's last name.  There is a very good website called Adoption Registry Connect where you can search or register to post your information.
