Theres this place i guess its kind of like a school/talentagency and they ask for $995 and they give you all kinds of dance classes, modeling(runway),acting etc. it last 10 months but during that time (and after that time also) they find you jobs etc. Does this seem right?

  1. see if they will accept CC payments... if anything goes pear shaped, you'll be able to do a chargeback on the payment.

  2. Outside of your local BBB you can also go to this website.  It has both BBB and consumer remarks about a lot of companies.

  3. A real talent agency doesn't charge a fee up front.  They get a percenateg of your earnings, when they book you.

  4. There's an article that refers to home based businesses and what to look for and look into such as the BBB etc.  The information on there might help you out in your investigation on this particular company.  I don't know the company or ever heard of a company doing this.  I can't say if it's a fraud, but it sounds more like this is a school and after you complete the course, they find you a company to work for?  I had a cousin who went to a school like this in Santa Barbara, she was placed in runway shows and different things after taking all the classes.  I can't remember what the name of that school was off hand, but it sounds similiar.

  5. Could be, but first check the Better Business Bureau IN the city/state that the company is located in.  I would also go to www.ripoffreport.com to see if there are any complaints.  Good Luck!
