how to find out your mcafee version?

i think i am using mcafee total protection 2008 12-in-1, so i search online (google picture) for mcafee total 2008 .

--------------------------------------...

after that, i found out that mcafee total protection 2008 on the main menu of the security center has the last threat information alert.

but compare to mine, how come mine is missing of that feature?

  1. Go to Program Files\McAfee then browse on *.exe, right click on them, choose Properties, choose Version to see the file version, product version or the build number. You could do that for each of the *.exe in the McAfee folder. If the *.exe files' version say 8.1 for Security Center; 12.1 for Virus Scan. 9.1 for the Firewall, then McAfee is correctly reporting the respective file versions in your http://www2.picturepush.com/photo/a/9636...

For the http://www1.picturepush.com/photo/a/9636... maybe you should click a category [Computer & Files, Internet & Network, etc.] first before you could view the details, which you remarked "Empty" The "last threat information alert" would only be present if there were any threat found on a recent scan, try clicking "View Recent Events" on the left. If there are no entries there, then be thankful: your computer has not been intruded, or would you rather like that it has?
