there's a sticker in the door jamb that says the "tr" code is 5, is this tires or exterior trim? If it is tires, is there some kind of chart or something to tell me what "5" means?

  1. Go to www.ford.com.  In the search engine for the site, type in 2000 Ford Focus and the model it is (ZX3, ZX5 etc.)  It will take you to a page that gives you all you ever wanted to know about your car.  Especially if you put the VIN number into the web page as well.  The VIN number is that long number stamped into the dashboard and is best seen on the outside of the car on the driver's side.

  2. The sticker in the door jamb should also list the tire size (what you are describing has nothing to do with tires).

The tire size depending on trim level and options was either P185/65R14 85S or P195/60R15 87T.  More that likely the tire size originally fitted to the car is what is on it right now.  Even if you can't find this information on the Vehicle Information Tag inside the door if you look at the tire you will see one of those two sizes written on it.

  3. This web site will get you the original size and other sizes if want to upgrade.
