How to find out what type of rabbit I have?

We just bought a beautiful male bunny yesterday. My boys have been begging for one for months now. He is a brown mingled color. I forgot to ask what type of bunny he is.. like the breed. I actually didn't even know bunnies had breeds until I was reading these y! questions.

Do any of you know any webpage that shows pictures and characteristics of bunny breeds?

Thank you!

  1. the arba site will help but you probably have a mixed breed

  2. http://www.arba.net/Breeds.htm  Though is is possible he is a 'bunny mutt' as well if he does not look like one of the breeds pictured.

  3. You can browse all rabbit breeds on RabbitTrader.com. This might give you a better idea of what kind of bunny you have.

You could also try the arba website for the show breeds, but keep in mind not all rabbit breeds are approved for show.  Try to search some keywords that describe your bunny (color, size, etc) on the Rabbit Trader classified ads and see if  rabbits like yours come up.

Rabbit Trader is the largest community for online rabbit classified ads. You can post a rabbit, browse rabbit breeds, browse by your state, and contact rabbit breeders at http://www.rabbittrader.com.

  4. Maybe this will help:

    http://www.petpeoplesplace.com/resources...

  5. try the American Rabbit Breeders Association...they have a standard of perfection with every breed and color listed
