yea sbb.ch will be just fine, but believe me when youre in switzerland you dont need to find out the distance between cities! Switzerland is tinnnnnnny, about the size of Delaware so the maximum distance between two cities is no more then 3-4hours by train! ...that would probably be from Geneva to Basel.

While the Swiss railway site is an excellent timetable guide, unfortunately it will not indicate distances. Second best is www.viamichelin.com which will map a route between any 2 cities and will display distances too (not rail distances, though).
