  1. Yeah, the key should have been set up when the wireless router was installed.  Somebody set it.  Find out who and beat the code out of them :-).

If all else fails, most routers have a "restore defaults" thing on the back.  You have to stick a pencil tip in to reset it, it's a small button on the back.  BE CAREFUL DOING THIS, only if you have to.

  2. go to the address bar and type 192.168.1.1  If it asks u for username and password, just type admin for the password. Then go to wireless settings tab or something related to security. Find something that says WPA or WEP. There should be a combination of letters and numbers next to that. Hope this helps.

  4. The key code is usually on the bottom of the router.

  5. Ask him. He was the one who set it.

  6. If he had it set up professionally, the tech probably wrote the info down in a file and put it on the desktop. Look for "txt" files.

  7. Well sonny boy...lmao, joking :)

Clearly, he doesn't want to tell you the code, so I'm gonna help you out.

email me the kind of router that it is and I'll help you from there
