  1. 3x - 2y = 4

    Add 2y to both sides

    3x = 4 + 2y

    Subtract 4 from both sides

    3x-4=2y

    Divide both sides (all parts of the equation) by 2

    (3x-4)/2 = y = (3x/2) - (4/2) = (3x/2) - 2

    Slope is the coefficient of the "x" coordinate (3/2) or 1.5

  2. Well first you have to get the y values on one side and get the rest of it on the other side.

    So...

    2y= --3x + 4

    two y equals minus three x plus 4

    Now you have to divide y by two, so it will be just y.  But if you divide one side by 2, you have to divide the other.

    So...

                     y=              --3x + 4

                                      --------------

                                              2

    The slope is     -  3/2            and the y intercept is 4

    Slope: minus three over two

    Hope I helped!

  3. Assuming you want it in slop-intercept form (y=mx+b), you'd begin with what's given: 3x-2y=4.

    Begin by subtracting 3x from both sides:

    3x-2y-3x=4-3x

    ------------------

    -2y=4-3x

    or

    -2y = -3x+4

    Now, divide both sides by -2

    -2y/-2 = -3x/-2 +4/-2

    ---------------

    y = 3/2x - 2

    y = m  x +b

    M = slope, therefore slope = 3/2

  4. To find the slope of this line, first rearrange the equation to slope intercept form which is y=mx+b  where m is the slope.  After rearranging it, we get 2y=3x- 4.......divide by 2 to get y by itself......which in turn leaves us with y=1.5x- 2........therefore the slope is 1.5, or 3/2.

  5. If 3x.2y=4 is a line, you can use the formula,

    slope of a line= -a/b, where a is the coefficient of x and b is the coefficient of y.

    hence, slope of 3x-2y=4= -a/b = -3/-2 = 3/2

    This is the best method to find the slope of a line.

  6. First, get the y term all by itself:

    3x - 2y = 4

        + 2y   +2y

    =========

    3x = 4 + 2y

    Now subtract 4 from both sides

    3x = 4 + 2y

    -4    -4

    =========

    3x - 4 = 2y

    Finally, divide everything by 2 to get y alone

    y = 3/2x - 2

    The slope is the coefficient of the X term, so it's 3/2
