  1. Sir I advice you to take a look at scriptlance: http://ilyesoft.99k.org/scriptlance.com.... .

I appreciate it and it's totally free and you can get many jobs in many topics (webdesign,programming...)

You can register free and search for a project in web design and bid !

  2. I'll give you the real skinny...

You first need to have some sort of portfolio.  Whether academic or personal.  Go out and do a free website for someone.  EVERY business "wants" a website so there is no shortage there.

Now you have two options really.  You can be a freelancer where you do sites for businesses (not recommended) or you can get into a firm and develop their site.  I DO NOT recommend online job services because all you get is spam and temp agencies.  You need to check out the regular old newspaper; online or paper.  Also check any local papers in your area.  Sometimes just walking into a place could offer a position.  Go to local job fairs and hand out your resume with live sites you have done.  You really got to hussle for it.  If you just want to walk into businesses, I would try local retail stores, manufacturing plants, realtor's (that is a BIGGY) and just any well established local or small chain.  Forget about the big names like Lowe's, Starbucks, etc.  They have their own marketing department which includes a web team.  OH YEAH, marketing firms are really good places to start if there is one in your area.  Don't forget about local organizations too.  You can find them in your local city paper.

    Hope this helps.

    Shawn
