I have to find the slope and y-intercept with 2 given points. I know how to do the slope but i forgot how to find out the y-intercept.

Ex: (11.3, 4.5) (14.7, 5.3)

The class measured to find the numbers so the numbers may not work or somthing.

  2. y = mx + b

    Substitute one of your coordinates for the x and y, and the slope for m, and solve for b, which is the y-intercept.

    11.3 = (slope)*4.5 + b
