How to find you're lost cell phone?

ok, so i lost my cell, and looked everywhere for it. Normally, I would just call it from my house phone and locate it, but there's one problem. It has no minutes, i was just about to top up, but couldn't find it. So everytime i call, it just says "it is temporarily out of service." Is there any possible way to still find it???
