i recently fitted my amp and sub woofer to my bora but i have a problem and it keeps draining the battery. when ignition is off the light that shows power on the amp is still on. it is a direct connection to the amp from the battery. the old radio was the original set that came with car that has a seperate stereo system to the cd player/changer. please help.

  1. well there's your problem.  your direct connection to the battery causes it to drain out.  since your remote wire is always active it causes the amp to always be on.  like someone else said you need to run it on a switch.  so it can only be turned on when you turn your stereo or car on.  you need to run it to a switched 12 volt source.  i'm not familiar with the car you have but you could be able to run it to the cigarette lighter or ignition.  it is best to run it to the stereo deck itself though.  i hope this helps.  good luck.

  2. The blue wire on the amp is the turn on lead. If your stereo does not have a blue wire just hook it up to a switched power source.
