I want to watch anime video on dvd player, the video format is avi....I'm able to watch it but I cannot read the subtitles (it doesn't fit the screen).

Here are the details of the video

Video: XVID 640x480 23.98fps 907Kbps [Video 0]

Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 48000Hz stereo 128Kbps [Audio 1]

So i changed the video resolution to 800x600 but the dvd player cannot read it anymore

What should i do? I want to watch anime in avi format but what should i do to fit it on screen so that i will able to read the subtitles...

  1. video format is .avi? hows that? does your dvd player play .avi files that are on the dvd? if so im not sure how to do that, try encoding with a different codec. if that doesnt work just use windows movie maker, itll burn a dvd-video disc (like dvd movies) and that should work. it will give u a live preview before you burn it to be sure its right. also maybe ur calibration on your tv screen isnt correcT?
