How to fix a Tube T.V.?

when i try to plug the video/audio cables in nothing happens. when i try to plug in cable nothing happens. But if a wiggle the connection i sometimes get picture and/or sound ant then it disappears. i think the connection in the back of the t.v. is loose. is there any way to open up the t.v. and fix it?

  1. You will not get electricuted if the TV is turned off. You might get a significant shock, but it won't kill a normally healthy person. The tube will not implode if you simply touch the wrong thing.

    Because it is dangerous, if you have to ask this question, you should not open the back. It isn't unusual for the tube to have 40,000 volts, more or less.


  2. You shouldn't open up a tube TV if you're not a TV technician. If you touch the wrong thing, you'll get electrocuted or the tube will implode.
