  1. could be a number of things timing,  fuel mixture, air filter blocked and more. with out seeing it you cant really diagnose what wrong.

  2. If your car is newer, there is a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) that senses the throttle position electronically.  Although if the sensor was bad, you probably have a 'check engine' light.  A dead spot feeling could be other things, such as fuel pressure or ignition troubles.  Most autoparts stores will use a diagnostic scanner on your vehicle and give you the codes for free.  Then you can troubleshoot your vehicle with the right direction.

If your car is older and carbuerated, I would look at the accelerator pump or ignition timing advance/r****d.

  3. Could be a throttle position sensor which sends a signal to your car computer or it could be a fuel related issue with dirty fuel filter or injector.  A TPS sensor should throw a check engine light on the dash cluster.  If not I would look into a fuel issue or even a spark plug wire arcing causing inconsistent spark.

  4. TPS (throttle position sensor)
