  1. Clean the hole in the pilot o*****e till the pilot is blue.No orange in flame

  2. When you light the pilot you have to hold the pilot button even after the pilot is lit for between 30 and 60 seconds. This allows the thermocouple to warm up and keep the pilot going. If it doesn't stay lit after holding the pilot button in for 1 minute try it one more time for about two minutes. If It still won't stay lit, you need service.

  3. yep you need a new thermocouple which is a safety device to prevent you from blowing your house up ....they are fairly simple to fit but i would advise you to get someone in the know to do it for you , whether that's a Friend in the know or a professional its up to you but make sure its all safely done, CORGI is best

  4. Call an engineer in the morning and make sure he is CORGI registered.

  5. Yep - seems the thermocouple is faulty.  Easy to replace but by law, you must have it replaced by a CORGI registered engineer.

  6. get a corgi registered fitter to have a look at it, probably requires a good clean

  7. call a corgi registered diy er

  8. Maz is right - don't try to fix it yourself. Get a CORGI registered engineer.
