How to fix a jammed seat belt?

Ok the seat belt on the passenger has always had problems. The belt would always lock and would not come all the way out until after a few tries. Now the thing will not retract or come out and seems to be completely locked. The vehicle is a 92 dodge caravan. Does anybody know how to fix it?

  1. take it to the car work trust me i had that happen to me and yet it is still geting stuck but your car is diffarnt :)


  2. well your have to do the exactly things in the exact order this is what i would do is take it out as far as you can get t and spred a slippery paste like butter and salt to gether ( you might have a little stain after ) and slide it for a couple minutes


  3. Try Pulling Very Slowly If Not Then Open The Cover Then Try Uncapping The Cover, Then Pull The Safety Lock, Its Common on American Cars.

  8. To fix it is to replace the whole assembly,for safety reason,seat belt is not meant to be repaired,there is no spare part other than the whole mechanism.HTH.

  10. Take it apart and make sure the latch is not stuck.
