How to fix a lazy eye?

Question

iam short sighted and when i look at somthing a reasonable distance away, like a camera, my right eye doesnt line up with my left in the middle of the white it points slightly up and outwards.

this dusnt happen wen i lool at things close up, like a mirror.

how can i fix this?

Theres quite a lot of options you could consider. Mainly lazy eyes, or squints, are corrected during childhood by patching, in which you'r good eye is covered with a patch to encourage your lazy eye to work harder, and therefore becomes stronger. In addition to patching, you may have surgery when you're young, but this usually needs a second go when you're older to get it just right. Now that you're older, you can most likely go ahead for surgery, though your consultant may recommend patching first to improve vision in your lazy eye before going ahead with surgery.

I've just had mine corrected for the second time through surgery and I had patching when I was a child. Relatively painless when you recover from the anaesthetic, though it is irritating. Only problem with my surgery is that my surgeon had to leave me eye slightly to the left (not noticeably) to avoid double vision, as your mind isnt used to seeing one solid image through both your eyes.

I'd recommend surgery however, as so far my results are amazing. :]

Well you should check with your optimologist but to fix a lazy eye, you put a patch over the good eye, which will make the weak eye stronger.

it depends bacause there are different types..but the most common one is that the lazy eye isnt strong..so what you do is put an eye patch over the good eye..that makes the lazy eye try to focus..then over time it will get stronger and stronger until it is equal strength to the other eye..so just put an eyepatch over your good eye

Get someone to punch you in the other eye until you have two lazy eyes, then you'll look like you're just squinting.
