  1. It's hard to know what's causing your slice because it could be so many things.

However, I can share a few golf tips that I have experimented with that have helped me over the years.

I was slicing the ball because my shoulders weren't turning around my body through the impact zone. When this happens, your hands and club face get hung up and strike the ball in an open position.

Experiment with lifting up your chin at the  end of your set-up and this should give your shoulders the room to rotate. Once your shoulders have room to move your hands and club will naturally follow.

Another tip that helps promote a better body turn is move your back foot away from your normal position at set-up (not a wider stance, just away).

    Hope this helps.

  2. loosen up your grip, make sure your hips, shoulders, and club face are aimed at your target, and get your shoulders through the ball.

  3. A slice is caused by an open clubface at impact, in relation to the target line.  Nothing else.

I really do not understand why some people insist that an "over the top" swing causes a slice..  It does not.  If I have a square face at impact, with an "over the top" swing.. I hit a straight shot.. but its pulled left.  (right, if you are lefty).

"Over the top" swing , is the swing path... if you have a closed clubface with this.. you'll have a pull-hook..

SO..   you need to find out why you can't come into the impact zone with a square clubface.

    It could be your grip..

It could be your release.. if you hold off the release.. you'll fade the ball..

It could even be, that you are not even addressed to the ball, with a square clubface at all.  What you think is square.. might really be an open clubface, when you setup.

  4. the solution is something called swinging on plane. When you hit a slice you are coming over the top and hitting the ball with a glancing blow putting spin on it which causes the ball to slice. to fix this you want to turn your shoulders a lot in your back swing. also, don't bring your club straight up. feel like you are bringing the club around your body. then let your hands drop in the downswing. don't hack at the ball like and axe. feel like you are scooping the ball up.
