the townhouse we live in has the bedrooms downstairs and the kitchen / living room upstairs. My sons bedroom seems to have a musty smell and I don't know how to get rid of it. Does anyone know how to get rid of the mustiness?

  1. Remove the body from the closet

  2. Febreeze, spray on freshness lovers, spray on.

  3. try washing and cleaning the room...washing the rugs, curtains, vacumming the floor, and spray febreeze on the fabrics.

  4. Febreeze is great.  You may also want to try shampooing the carpets.  We had one room in our house that smelled old and musty and we constantly sprayed febreeze but after shampooing the carpets the smell went away.  Good Luck!!!  ;-)

  5. I'm a 21yo male who lives on his own... I know all about smells ;)

My mother recommended a small dish of vanilla essence to get rid of some strange smells. :) Just sit it in the room for a  few days.

Maybe that will help.. also lots of sunlight and ventilation.

  6. Try putting a fan in there.

  7. Washing down the walls, bedding etc has helped in the same situation.  I used Murphy's oil soap. A family member use to put vinegar in a bottle. Then put an old piece of sheet like a wick in the bottle. It was used to clean the air like an air freshener. Or use a regular air freshener. If there is windows in the room they will need a good cleaning. If there is poor sealing of the windows in winter. That may be where the problem is. Mold and mildew grows in them situations.

  8. Buy a bottle of must-away, only $9.95 by calling 1-800-STINK.

  9. wash all ur sheets and light candles and use air freshners
