How to fix a nuvi 200W?

i entered the service menu by pressing the battery icon on the main menu. then i went to the voice test screen. when i pressed play phrase it locked up. now i can't turn it off with the power button and i can't press buttons on the screen. what can i do?

You can try using the reset button on the device if you are still experiencing this problem. I am assuming that the battery has died by now and when you charged it back up the problem was gone. If not there is a reset button to the right of the serial number on the bottom of the unit. Use a paper clip to push this button in. If this doesn't work you better call Garmin tech support at 800-800-1020.

Check the manual.  There is a Reset button that allows you to unlock the Nuvi if it jams like this.  A normal reset should not remove any stored data or preferences.
