How to fix a scratched cd?

I heard you can fix a scratched cd with toothpaste....& other house hold products....if so,what & how?

go to the store and buy a lil cloth thingy thing and it will say ''CD cleaner it cleans scratches boom ur done...:)

Put toothpaste on it.

Put toothpaste all over the cd where its scratched and leave it on there for a day. then wash it with water to take the toothpaste off and try he cd.i know this bcuz i have done this before
