How to fix a stuck doorknob?

Question

my doorknob is stuck and it wont turn, and its unlocked.

it has whats called a doorknob pin in it and i can't get it out. i can get the thing behind it out, but not the actual doorknob (that turns)

please help, step by step instructions would be helpful

Okay I have see this many times before. The latch (the springy part that comes out the edge of the door) is broken. (cheap Chinese lock) Take a flat blade screwdriver and a hammer, tap the hinge pins out, and pry the door out from the hinge side. Replace the lock with a better grade lock. The lock screws are on the other side of the door (according to the picture provided) If you feel uncomfortable doing this, call a local Locksmith. He/She will be able to remedy this in short order, at a minimal cost!
