How to fix a surfboard ?

It got a 6 inch crack at the bottom plus a big hole, about a size of a tennis ball. Can it be fix ???

  1. It can be fixed but take it to a professional. Repairs are not expensive but if done badly will potentially leak.

    It depends as well what kind of board it is. If it is a custom board which is fibreglass over a foam blank you need to use glass and resin. If its a pop out, which is the cheaper type of construction a car body filler can be used, but this is heavy and not completly watertight.

    If water gets into the core of the board it will waterlog, get heavier and out of balance and eventually de-laminate.

    I have had snapped boards repaired perfectly before now.

  3. Can definitely be fixed. If you've never repaired a surfboard, take it to a professional. They will do it right.
