How to fix big deep crack in concrete patio?

about 20 feet long......3/4 inch wide.......4 inch deep............any product at menards, home depot, lowes to fix it?.......more for cosmetics........type of caulk? or just quickcrete and a putty knike?......thanks in advance

  1. You know you are not going to fix it - you may be able to conceal it.

    I suggest pushing the correct size "backer rod" down in the cracks so its is about 1/2" below the surface. This is a styrofoam round materials is used to fill cracks prior to installng the crack filler.

    Now, Purchse a crack filler called" NP1". This is an elastic type filler used to fill concrete cracks, control joints,etc.

    There also is a product called "SL1" however it is self leveling and if the slab is not level this materials will run to the lower level- it's not good to use if your surface is not very level.

  2. The problem with the quickcrete is that it will expand in the cold and potentially crack even further. Best bet, even though it will be expensive is concrete caulk and a putty knife. It will take a bit to fill it...but most of that stuff won't expand or shrink in weather change..(be sure and read the label to make sure)..so I would do that...wait for it to dry and paint the whole patio with a concrete finish.
