How to fix cat behavioral issues?

My cat is almost a year old and she's wanting to just bite me constantly. I can't pet her or anything, she just always attacks me. I always talk sweet to her but I'm pretty busy nowadays so I don't really get to make a lot of time for her. She comes up to me all the time and gives me licks and does it on my face sometimes in the morning. Like she shows me a lot of love but she is so bitey now and I'd like to pet her some more! What can I do to suppress the attacks?

  1. my cat used to bite me alot, so i used stuffed animals about her size to play with her which helped some. then i got her a buddy and she stopped biting me... maybe she just gets bored while your gone.

  2. Ally, she is soliciting attention from you. You did mention that you are pretty busy nowadays and don't have time for her. That is the reason why she is exhibiting all undesirable behavior to get your attention. You have to understand that she is a very young cat and crave interaction from her owner.

You don't have to play with her all day and night. Just take 15 mins, twice a day to engage in interactive play with her. I am sure you have that much to spare for your cat.

She bites because from you ignoring her totally, to grabbing her and petting her. It's too sudden and she's getting defensive. You need to build her trust and never force her into doing what you feel like at that moment. Spend time with her like I said to form a better bond and eventually, she will learn to accept you and hopefully refrain from biting too much.
