How to fix circuit breaker? (URGENT)

Question

I have no real idea how electricity works around the house, so I'll need some pretty basic instructions. Here's the situation;

The lights still work in the house, but all the appliances that are plugged in have gone out, obviously meaning that the appropriate circuit breaker has gone out. I've looked at the circuit box outside and there's only one switch down, so I'm guessing that's the one. When I switch it back up, it just flips down again. What do I do?

Please hurry, the battery on my laptop is running out.

If it flips down the moment you flip the switch it may be that something plugged in is still tripping the circuit breaker, Check all the appliances and anything plugged in. Be careful

       The first problem would be to find out why the circuit breaker went out. After you find out, then try it again. The breaker may be good, whatever kicked it out is going to keep doing this until it's replaced.

that breakers needs to be replace.amd if u r unsafe about doing call a electriction to do the job for u

Unplug everything that isn't working and try again.If it stays plug stuff back in one item at a time.If it doesn't stay on with every thing unpluged then call an electrician.

A tripped circuit breaker has the toggle somewhere between off on on. To re-set the breaker, you have to turn it off then back on.

just trying to turn it on from a tripped position won't do the trick.

took off that circuit breaker out of its panel and u will see a disconnected wire around the two sides. just have a another piece of wire and roll it over the two end and then fix it back to that panel.

flip the switch in the on position than back off than back on, if you hear a buzz leave it in the off position and call an electrician, do not attempt to fix it yourself because you will ground yourself out on the buss bar and get electrocuted
