I was patching my bike tire and afterwards when I put the tire and tube back on the rim and filled it with air I notcied part of the wheel was sticking over the edge of the rim it is scraping my brake and I am worried the tube will pop again. I tried using a screwdriver to push the wheel back in but it won't go I am not sure if the tube is twisted or what, but I need help on deflating my tire so I can fix it. Please help.

  1. try getting it fixied at a bike shop

  2. A lot of cheap tires don't fit rims well. This is common. Release air by taking a small tool or even your finger nail, and push the center pin in on the valve. Once most of the air is out simply adjust the tire more evenly around the rim. Sometimes it takes a try or two but it'll work. Pump it up 1/2 way an check to see if it's seating OK. If you leave it like it is the tube will pop.

I've done this a hundred time or more.

    EDIT:

Is it the tire still or is the rim bent? If the tire yes, try again. It's possible the tire has a bulge in it too. If it's minor it's not an issue. Usually you can look very closely along the rim at the tire bead. You can usually see if the tire bead isn't even try to adjust accordingly. And yes, ill fitting tires sometimes take a few tries, it's a pain but you have to do it. Sometimes just deflating and re-inflating a few times straightens things out.

    Good luck.
