How to fix my disc brakes on my bicyle ?

I have a Kona blast and the front and back disc brakes work but very poorly. I tried to tighten the wire but it did nothing. How can I fix them ?

Make sure both rotors and brake pads are clean. They may be contaminated, which can cause poor braking power. Use rubbing alcohol to clean the rotors, and use fine grit sanding paper to clean the pads.

Also dial the pads in if they're worn out and cause a bigger gap between the pad and the rotor. You want to gap between the rotor and pad to be minimal, but not rubbing.
