How to fix my old stove top percoator?

I have a tiny hole in the bottom. I tried plugging it with a tooth pick and that worked for a while but it made the hole a little bigger. I am attached to my old coffee pot and don't want to have to get a new one.

  1. Keep it as a souvenir of times gone by and get a new one. It will only get worse and you'll do more damage than good trying to repair it. Your peace of mind is important. I haven't seen a "tinker" in decades.

  2. They make a product called alumiloy or similar spelling that can fix most aluminum products.  It requires a small propane torch and just a little practice.  You can actually repair a hole in a aluminum can.  You might try eBay because most sites want to sell larger quantities then what you might need.  That is the only thing I can think of that would stand the heat.
