How to fix or hook up a stripped cable?

I just moved into a new apartment, but the cord for the cable is stripped so that at the end there are just the inner wires. Is it possible to hook a tv up to that? or do I need to have it repaired?

this is easily repaired, all you need is to go to Radio Shack, and ask for the connector ends for a cable TV cable, you may need to get a crimper to (this is what squeezes the connector onto the cable).

If you have cable tv service, have the cable company do it for you. Cheap crimp on connectors will cause you nothing but trouble with your reception. but if you must, take the first answerer's suggestion and hope for the best, but if a tech has to come out and repair your cable after you fixed it yourself, you may get charged for it.

Tell your landlord, he might foot the bill and get it repaired. :)
