How to fix rather deep scratches on a bumper

So, I accidentally backed into my other car in the drive way, but all it really left were a few scratches on both cars. The scratches are pretty deep, too deep to be buffed out, but not more than a few mms. I was wondering if there would be any way how to fix this without paying someone hundreds dollars...BTW I am a huge do it yourselfer, so I am up to trying to fix it myself, as if I can't do it, I can always just take it to someone and have them do it...any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

  1. get a tube of plastiweld epoxy (it is great stuff) and mix up a little at a time, (it sets up fast, about 5 min) and fill in the scratches, tape off everything and gently sand it down smooth, then primer the area. Get some Duplicolor spray paint to match. Paint the area needed, then take the can of Duplicolor clear coat I forgot to tell you to get, and after the paint dries well spray a couple coats of clear. Do not wash or wax for 72 hrs, then take a little fine grit rubbing compound and blend it in, then wax it.

  2. it really depends. i had scratched my rear bumper too. i just went to my dealer and bought a $10 touch up paint. it is just like nail polish. it works ok with me. you just cover up the scratch. although you have to be very careful not to shake while you paint.
