Hey i bought a disk brake bike with full suspension from walmart for $300. Everything is fine, but the back shock/spring whatever it is squeaks a lot when going on bumps. the disk brakes used to squeak, but it stopped after using for about a day, but the back suspension seems to just keep on squeaking. should i put some vaseline on the metal part of the shock? the bike shop said it might work, it might not. ( it is a red mongoose blackcomb that i used once

  1. Your back suspension is not supposed to be lubricated, thats what cuases squeeking. try to wipe off as much lube as you can from it.

  2. the disk brakes are normal to squeak until they get broken in. the suspension squeaking probably isnt the shock it is probably the pivots, which are where the frame rotates to give you suspension travel, there are probably bolts or some type of fasteners or bearings here, it is different for all bikes. I would suggest oiling these up and making sure they arent too tight
