How to fix static in a phone?

wenever the rain falls i hear this annoying static thru the 'fone...i think it is b'cuz water gets into the fone lines via the leaky roof but does any one know how to fix dis issue?

Look at where you phone lines come in. Should be a box there. Replace the box and any corroded wires. Easy replacement... can buy at Walmart or any hardware store... all color coded.
