Question:

How to fix the gap between counter and wall?

I am renting an appartment, and there is a very noticeable gap between the back of the end of the counter and the wall. It's about two or so inches in width and goes along the edge from the top to bottom of the counter. What can I do to fill in this space? I can't move the counter since it's a rental, but my landlord is fine with me "filling in" the space. Any ideas? I'm new to home repair, so I have absolutely no idea what to do.

  1. Buy a piece of trim that will cover it.

  2. We went to the home improvement store and got corner pieces that matched our splash boards that were made for just such a purpose. You may have to have them special order them but they are very cheap, like $2.00 each.
