How to flaot on the water while standing?

what is this float called and how do u do it? plz naswer me on how do u do it...

anyways i will explain how it looks you are in deep water and you kick with your feet and half of you is underwater floating while the other half is not in the water

  1. I'm  guessing its the doggy paddle  u move ur hands in a circular motion  like ur riding a bike do that with ur hands and legs it should work .... its bacily just how dogs do it kinda =D

    and your kicking your legs and moving your hands in big stokes.

    its kinda hard you should know how to swim before you try

    just in case you cant hold yourself up.

    If you are in deep water and extend out your arms in a way that properly balances your body, then do a little scissor kick or a bicycle kick once in a while to stay upright, you'll float, also known as treading water.

    The little boy is holding onto a ladder but you're describing the skill of 'treading water'.

    To tread water with your head above the water you'll need to:

    1.) perform sculling with your hands: Your hands are outstretched in front of you with the palms facing down. The motion of your hands are to press out and back sort of like a figure 8 motion.

    2.) your legs complete a scissors kick ( the flutter kick can be used but it's not as effective and more tiring, the egg beater kick can be used but is a more advanced skill to keep the body higher in the water). The scissors kick is performed by gently lifting the legs together then separate the legs (one forward and one back) wide and then kick them together.

  5. What you are referring to is called treading! =)

    Move your arms back and forth, sweeping in and out under the water with little bent elbow. BIG sweeps, and kick regular flutter(freestyle) kick with your legs. Make wide kicks, and big sweeps. Treading is all about feeling the water, and keeping yourself up.
