How to format my hard drive?

I have 2 hard drives, now I want to format(delete ALL the stuff) the backup hard drive (window is not here), what should I click now?!

  1. Your best option is to use a boot disk. If you know DOS then use the command format. Otherwise, when installing windows XP you have the option to format your hard disk there, although not all drives, which you will have to do once you have installed windows.

    right click on the drive then format

    if doesnt work

    put the window's cd then u will find format drive when ur about to install windows just format the drive without installing the windows

  3. l think your thinking that c drive and d drive are two drives. Logical assumption l thought the same thing. The backup that your refering to is your disks that you made when you first got you computer. there is no backup on hard drive. Some backups are still on the hard dr but it's a hidden partition. Don't know why you want to format unless you want to start from scratch. lf that's the case use the internal format and reinstall from the disks.
