How to format my memory card (card reader)?

i hav make a mistake by cancelling the process of formatting my memory card (using usb to pc). when i open my handset, it says please insert storage card although i have insert it. i check the properties of the card (using card reader) , and the size is zero. what to do to make my memory card as normal.
