How to format phone memory of nokia 3500 handests...

Question

nokiai have a nokia 3500c and the music player was working fine until i formatted my memory card and put new music on it.. now, when i go into the music player, all the songs in the library are the old ones which aren't on my memory card anymore and i cant play the new ones... i tried updating the library a couple times but that makes no difference:(

PLEASE help!
