  1. When you switch on you get options of F1 F10 or F8 for boot menu options.


  2. do you have a floppy frive? go to bootdisk.com to get the file,  (MSDOS 6.0), then put in a floppy and run the file. Then boot off the floppy and run the format.

    Alternatively, if you have either an xp or a vista cd, boot off that and find the format feature. Vistas format feature is under repair my computer, then command prompt, then type without the quotes

    "format c: /q" where c is your drive letter.

  3. Open Computer Management (Local).

    In the console tree, click Computer Management (Local), click Storage, and then click Disk Management.

    Right-click the partition, logical drive, or basic volume you want to format (or reformat), and then click Format.

    Select the options you want, and then click OK.
