How to formet a sd card

i have a 1gb sd card.My camera is not reading itIt says card needs formetting

put it into a computer with a card reader and right click and format it if your camera doesn't allow you to do so, cheap trick if you don't have access, most electronics stores will have a laptop on display that does

I would suggest formatting it inside the camera. It will tell you how in the camera manual or if you let us know the camera model I will try to help out

You should Format the card in the camera. This is done in the MENU. Check your user manual for help if you don't know where to find it.

Also, format the card everytime you need to delete ALL images in one go.
