How to gain some weight?

im 16 and want to know how to gain some weight I weigh 130 pounds i eat good and high in calorie foods like tuna,peanut butter and jelly i consume lots of water and lets just say i try to eat alot of **** chicken....

the problem is i have a very fast metabolism. I tried those protein shakes and all but i just wont work i could weigh myself on a scale 1 day 132 and wake up 130. Any tips or guides?

  1. What do you mean gain weight? Do you want to gain muscle or gain weight?

    If you want to weigh more, I would suggest weight gainers as well as protein shakes. Peanut butter and jelly will not do it alone. Weight gainers are great, but it's important that you take a complete serving all at once. A lot of people find them to filling and take the servings in stages. When that is done your body has a greater chance to metabolize the shake instead of storing some of it. You should also increase your carb intake. The average person consume 2400 calories a day. You could potentially consume 3000 - 3500. You should eat things with lots of carbs like pasta & bread. Pizza is great, as long as its not too greasy.

    I am certain you would like to evenly distribute that weight and not just gain it in your tummy, so be careful not to just eat fatty foods. You should continue to eat lots of protein. Weight trainers generally eat there body weight in grams per day. So if your weight is 130 pounds you should eat 130 grams of protein.

    I generally recommend that people should stop drinking juices if they are trying to lose weight. This is because juices add to your daily calories. So the reverse may be useful. Also, you should increase your good fat intake. Eat more dairy products, milk, cheeses, yogurt.
