I'm 5 ft 4, 40 kilograms. I'm NOT anorexic, I eat all meals well. But I guess I have thin bones? I'm half Asian, maybe that's why I'm kind of petite.

Are there any foods you guys eat that make you gain more weight? No junk please, I don't want to compromise my health.

thanks! :-)

  1. Yeah, thin bones, or high metabolism.... maybe.

How old are you, because I had the same 'problem' when I was a kid and young teenager. I was SICK of not being able to gain weight¨no matter what I ate... but as i grew older my body started to ajust, so that I gained weight, got curves and all (still in the low end of the weight scale though).

So if you're much younger than 16-17 years, I suggest you wait and see what happens in a few years.

And enjoy that you don't have to struggle to loose weight.

(Don't eat unhealthy, though... even if you don't gain weight bad food is still bad for you!)

  2. This website has a Personalized Nutrition Plan, so I hope this helps.

And also, eat a lot of meat, (from pigs or cows)

  3. Wow. I wish I could eat all my regular meals well and not gain weight.

Well, first of all, how old are you? When I was younger, I could eat and eat like a bottomless pit and not gain any weight at all. Sad to say, it doesn't work for me now. Or maybe it could be genetic. Some people can eat like a bottomless pit and still not gain any weight. Just stick to eating well and you should be fine :)

  4. sometimes you can't help, you r very short so you are not that under weight. i am 5 feet and i weigh 68 pounds, is that too thin.

  5. Eat like there's no tomorrow. I also want to gain weight like you. Foods that make u gain weight. Hmmm, I think maybe Ice - cream? ( Just eat it once in a blue moon, it's ok. )My mommy say it's fattening,so there.

  6. Take a multi vitamin....everyday!

And I am just like you,I have a high metbolism and that dont help matters none. I am 5' 2" and 95 lbs.

  7. Eating is the first and most important factor that is needed for proper weight gain. It's simple - you need to eat more calories than you burn. This does not mean eating anything and everything that is not nailed down. Carefully plan your meals with foods that will help you gain lean mass, not fat. I suggest 6 meals. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and three other small meals scheduled throughout the day. The goal is to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours.

Focus on foods such as steak, chicken, fruit, milk, vegetables, cheese and assorted types of nuts. It's recommended to eat 4 - 6 pieces of fresh fruit a day, and at least four tall glasses of milk. Milk is a great, cheap protein source - take advantage of it. A sample snack meal would be a glass of milk, an apple, and a hand full of peanuts.
